Nectar

My favorite Knitta Gall has come out with a new spring line of knit patterns called Nectar! They all look so wonderful and much to complicated for a simple knitter like me. I am sure I could possibly figure it out but I need patterns that are mindless so I can knit and do other things as well.... maybe even drive.

This is my favorite pattern.
FLICKER

Does anyone else see a pattern in my choice of knit patterns lately?

Planting.

Today was another beautiful day to be outside and I took full advantage!

Got the grasses all planted.

Doesn't look like much now... hopefully someday it will add great impact to the front of my house.

p.s. it might not look like it but it was hard work.

Anticipation

It's getting a little to hard to contain! Chipotle is not opening soon enough!

This is my update from my camera phone from today.

Stools!

So many things are happening around here, not only am I getting things accomplished outside I am getting things done inside the house too. Friday UPS delivered my beloved bar stools I've been wanting for the last two years I've lived here.

So, anyone who wants is welcome to come over and sit at my island for "cooking with Leslie".

Phase 3: Part A

I spent the weekend working hard getting things done around here. You could say that phase three is almost accomplished thanks to my friends and family. I am extremely worn our and sore from all the work my body is not use to. Hopefully I sleep well tonight.

Here is Ryan and Micah helping me dig/pull up the sod.

Almost finished..... just need plants.

Phase Two

Now the house numbers are on it's time to switch out the light fixtures. I searched and searched for just the right ones and never found them so I settled on these.

Side note: it was to dark out last night by the time we got them all installed to get a picture of them so here I am taking a picture from my car this morning because it was raining outside.

You can see that now I have a new problem, when the house was painted the old light fixtures were already installed so now I've got to paint.

Numbers

As you drive down my street looking at all the houses you will notice that nearly everyone has all the same light fixtures and house numbers. Hmmmm?

Well we are changing that!

I am in the process of transforming the exterior of my house to look more like me.

The Quest for a new Hand Bag

It's been quite a while since I have purchased a new handbag. I am looking for something different, unique, and says Leslie all over it.
I've spotted these from my weekly read of Blosem. Designed by XS-M-L
LOVE! If it was only a little more affordable?

I smell Anthro.

I am spending my Saturday evening baking chocolate cake and watching HGTV. What fun! Anyway.... Color Splash is not always my particular favorite design show but this evening it hit the spot. All I can say is that if you sprinkle in a little Anthropologie you're more likely to to win me over.
I great mix of mod, traditional, and vintage makes an eclectic kitchen like THIS fantastic!

Function. Inspiration. Action.

Open House, at Anthropologie's website. I stumbled upon this great little section and wanted to make sure that I shared it with you. Make sure that you "Click" around and especialy on the lower right hand corner to view little video clips on how the room came about.

This makes me wonder if I really do want to go contemporary. This is truly one of my favorite design styles. I am torn between mid-century mod and the bohemian anthro style.
