Phase Two

Now the house numbers are on it's time to switch out the light fixtures. I searched and searched for just the right ones and never found them so I settled on these.

Side note: it was to dark out last night by the time we got them all installed to get a picture of them so here I am taking a picture from my car this morning because it was raining outside.

You can see that now I have a new problem, when the house was painted the old light fixtures were already installed so now I've got to paint.

Numbers

As you drive down my street looking at all the houses you will notice that nearly everyone has all the same light fixtures and house numbers. Hmmmm?

Well we are changing that!

I am in the process of transforming the exterior of my house to look more like me.

The Quest for a new Hand Bag

It's been quite a while since I have purchased a new handbag. I am looking for something different, unique, and says Leslie all over it.
I've spotted these from my weekly read of Blosem. Designed by XS-M-L
LOVE! If it was only a little more affordable?

I smell Anthro.

I am spending my Saturday evening baking chocolate cake and watching HGTV. What fun! Anyway.... Color Splash is not always my particular favorite design show but this evening it hit the spot. All I can say is that if you sprinkle in a little Anthropologie you're more likely to to win me over.
I great mix of mod, traditional, and vintage makes an eclectic kitchen like THIS fantastic!

Function. Inspiration. Action.

Open House, at Anthropologie's website. I stumbled upon this great little section and wanted to make sure that I shared it with you. Make sure that you "Click" around and especialy on the lower right hand corner to view little video clips on how the room came about.

This makes me wonder if I really do want to go contemporary. This is truly one of my favorite design styles. I am torn between mid-century mod and the bohemian anthro style.

Etsy Top Pics!

Today I was informed by my old roomy that I had my Frankoma flower pot on the front page of Etsy! Someone hand picked me!! I can't believe it. I am so honored and excited! So I checked out how many views I got from it and the count went from about 40 to 313. I am so sad that I missed it.

As I left for work this morning I stopped at my mailbox to find that my new Domino magazine came in the mail! About the one and only thing that I look forward to receiving in the mail. (The rest bills and all.)
As I flip through the pages looking for new inspirations and ideas it lead me over to the Domino website were I found this link for a blog called Becoming a Foodie and another My Polaroid blog both written by Jen in CA. AMAZING! ia all I have to say. I love all her photography. So go take a peek for yourself.

Craft Saturday

Finally, I was able to attend a Craft Saturday. Normally it is scheduled for a Saturday that I have to work so it never works out that I am able to peruse the crafter's tables of wares and be tempted to spend all my money. It was great seeing all the adorable little items and as always really enjoyed seeing Jade Scott who I admit is my main reason for going. Love her jewelry! And she is such a sweat heart as well. So here is a shout out to Jade. It was great chatting with you and getting to see all your beautiful jewels in real life again. If any of you are curious go check her stuff out here at her etsy sight or you may catch some great etsy recommendations read her blog here.

New!

This last week I have been home with the lovely bug that has been going around. Practically my entire family has had the darn thing and I thought I would escape it. But as of last Thursday it caught me without any prior notification or warning. It knocked me out cold. I went home from work early on Friday and proceeded to stay home for the next 3 days.
Three days being a long time to not have any interaction with the outside world I made due through the use of television and Internet.
Watched many new and old movies, hours and hours of HGTV and surfed the Internet till my eyes were tired.

Here are new things I discovered that you might want to check out too.

Music:
Sondre Lerche (I was informed by Sarah I had heard him through them but it just must have never clicked until I found him on my own which took way to long.)
Yael Naiim (everyone has heard her song on the new mac commercial but I just downloaded the entire album)
St. Vincent (already knew of her, I have her EP, but finally got around to getting her full album)

Internet:
Lotta Jansdotter now has her fabric for sale on her website!

March 1st

It's a cloudy day here, the temperature is suppose to rise to the 40's (the warmest it's been in what it feels like forever!), and we are going to have rain possibly. I have crafting ideas flowing through my head, projects to do, things to make. What a good day it would be stay at home and do some crafting in the dim light of a cloudy quiet day. There are many things I need to be making. I have several birthdays this month as well as the birth of my new Niece any day now. I am working today so it will have to wait till this evening or my day off next week.

I hope to be able to post pictures of my projects as well as the baby when it all happens. My normal computer is at the Doctor again, she has been sick for quite a while now and we can't seem to find what is wrong so she is being rebuilt all together practically. I also have a used laptop coming my way that I am very excited about. It's not my macbook yet (dream computer) but it will do for now.

Here is a pic I took last weekend to send you off.
