Where has September gone?

I just can't seem to get enough time in my day to get all the things done on my list. Came home from Chicago on Monday night after a great weekend selling all our wears for UrbanPosture at Renegade Craft Fair, dumped all our merchandise in the studio and piled my food on the counter in the kitchen. I haven't had hardly any time to clean up after myself since then, yet alone share my weekend with you.

On our way back from Chicago, Erin and I decided to make the trip just a little bit more fun and stop at some small town thrift shops to see what treasures we could find.  Here are a few of the interesting things I just couldn't pass up sharing with you.

We could hardly hold onto our socks imaging what treasures we would find in this adorable St. Vincent De Paul! To our dismay, the once shop is now just the society and no treasures were found.

Here is what I did find at the next thrift shop... nothing purchased though, but I did get a kick out of them.

Indian wall hanging

Lobster Fondue Pot

And the best thing of all... a Swedish Spritz cookie maker! The packaging alone would have sold me if I had the room for one more kitchen utensil.  I told Erin this weekend that she needed to rub some of her practicality off on me and by restraining from purchasing any of these items I could possibly say she did. :)

Where on earth have I been?

Brooklyn, NY!!!

Last weekend I, along with Sarah and Tiffany took UrbanPosture to Brooklyn for Renegade Craft Fair. What fun we had! This was my first trip to Brooklyn and with that I was able to check off one of my many bakeries I want to visit off my list.

Love the way the bakery is decorated... woodland theme, with dashes of elegance.. i.e. the crystal chandelier, and their logo is deer antlers to make it even better!

Then the 2nd to best part of going to baked was being able to taste THE BROOKIE! I've been baking these at home and was excited to compare mine to the real thing. I give them a thumbs up!

down to it.

It's been an entire month since Sarah and I found out that UrbanPosture was accepted to be apart of the Renegade Craft show. We've been diligently working to get ready for this big weekend that is now only 5 days away.

Just a little recap of this busy month.

I had a new roommate move in so the studio moved from the kitchen and master bedroom to the basement.

Sarah and I made one of the best purchases to date... and island. It's so much better then the kitchen table!

We where fortunate to be featured in Juice for Made in Des Moines article.

Ordered more and more and more and printed more and more and more product as we see our Etsy business pick up and try to even prepare for the amounts we hope to sell at Renegade.

Have help from friends and family building our 10x10 boutique in my garage.

We still have a little bit more to do to be ready for next weekend but not to much. We hope and pray the weather is wonderful and all sorts of people come out for the event. We are looking forward to seeing all of you. Please come and say hello because we would love to see your smiling faces.

Renegade here we come!

Today Sarah and I found out that we have been accepted to Renegade Craft Fair this coming September in Chicago. That means UrbanPosture is going to be traveling to the Windy City. We are so very excited for this opportunity and what it will bring.

Fingers crossed while we compile our list of things to order for inventory and things that have to be done within the following month. Thank goodness I have allot of time to invest, we just need to get Sarah done with her kitchen remodel so she can devote a little bit more of the little time she has.

So, if we seem a little scatterbrained in the next weeks please excuse us and maybe even offer a hand.
